Invest in Your People

Invest in your people through coaching in a restaurant catering kitchen

Great leaders do more than manage performance. They develop people.

In this episode of Uncensored and In Charge, Erin Childs explores why coaching should be a core leadership responsibility and how investing in your people can build confidence, accountability, stronger managers, better retention, and a healthier leadership pipeline.

Presented by Erin Childs, Executive Coach & Restaurant Consultant, Independent, and host of Uncensored and In Charge.

In this session, Erin explores:

  • The difference between managing someone and coaching them
  • Why the best leaders recognize that everyone has room to grow
  • How better questions can help employees think independently
  • Why coaching should include high performers, not just struggling employees
  • How five-minute conversations can become powerful coaching moments
  • Why newly promoted managers need to be taught how to coach
  • How coaching builds confidence, self-awareness, accountability, and belonging
  • Why CEOs, executives, and senior leaders need coaches too
  • How investing in people can improve retention, engagement, succession, and performance
  • Why a leader’s greatest legacy may be the people they helped become successful

Erin also challenges every leader to identify one person on their team and have a meaningful conversation about who that person wants to become, not simply what they need to accomplish today.
